The Community Foundation of South Georgia is a 501(c)(3) public charity and, as such, donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. All funds can be supported or funded through various types of donations including cash, check, credit card, stocks, bonds and real estate, etc.

If you need assistance in determining the most advantageous way to donate, please contact the Community Foundation or your professional advisor. We will be glad to work with you and your advisor to maximize your giving potential and tax deductibility.

Year-End Giving Deadlines Information
If you wish to make a donation to the Community Foundation by year end, please follow these guidelines to ensure compliance with IRS guidelines for tax deductibility:
- Gifts of cash or check must be postmarked by December 31.
- Credit card donations must be made by 11:59 pm on December 31.
- Financial Advisors suggest that the transfer of common stock be processed and completed by 2:00 pm on the last day of the calendar year.
- To ensure the timeliness of your transaction, please contact our Controller Lisa Hitt at 229.228.5088 as soon as possible.
If you are interested in establishing a new fund or donating other assets
(real estate, closely held stock, IRA distribution, etc.), please contact
us as soon as possible.

Donate By Check

If you would like to make a donation in person, you may do so at the Community Foundation office located at 114 West Jackson Street in Thomasville, or you may mail a check made payable to Community Foundation of South Georgia.
Be sure to note which fund you want to support.
